I'd love to learn more about those boots, based on the photos. Is the hair left on the sole? Is there an inner bootie? Is the boot fully softened, or is it still a bit stiff? So much to learn...

Boots are stiff, and on winter "tuttuluks" made entirely out of caribou (neck skin for a sole) they leave the hair on. The boot on the couch is inside out, and there are often combinaitons of boots...

I'd like to see more about the boots ..how the sole is cut ( the pattern ) and how its sewn to get it to go around the curve of the toe and heel etc. I have the book Our Boots about Northern peoples...

Thats caribou back side sinew, cleaned and flattened, dryed and parted, moisten by mouth and immediately rum across the thigh to slick down any strands , 'twisting sinew' its called. Stitches are made...
